This Privacy Policy explains how Lyna (“we,” “us,” “our”) handles information when you use the Lyna app and the website at lyna.beauty (the “Service”). We keep data collection to what the Service needs to work.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

• Account details, such as your name and email, when you sign up.
• Client records you create, which may include client names, photos, and cosmetic mapping details (eye shape, set type, length, curl, thickness, and similar notes).
• Messages you send us, such as support requests.

Information collected automatically

• Basic technical and usage data needed to run and secure the Service, such as device type, app version, and diagnostic logs.

2. Your clients’ data, and your role

When you store information about your clients, you decide what to collect and why. For that information, you act as the controller and Lyna acts as a processor that stores and syncs it on your behalf. You are responsible for obtaining any consent your clients’ data requires. We do not use your client records to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell them.

3. How we use information

• To provide core features: saving, syncing, and backing up your records;
• To authenticate you and keep your account secure;
• To provide support and respond to your requests;
• To maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
• To meet legal obligations.

4. Guest mode and cloud sync

You can use Lyna as a guest, in which case your records stay on your device and are not uploaded to us. When you enable cloud sync, your records are stored with our hosting providers so they can be backed up and available across your devices. You can turn cloud sync off.

5. How information is stored and shared

We store data using reputable third-party cloud hosting and infrastructure providers who process it on our behalf under appropriate safeguards. We share information only:

• With service providers who help us run the Service (such as hosting and authentication);
• With members of a studio you join, for records that are shared within that studio;
• When required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of users and the public;
• In connection with a business transfer, with notice where required.

6. Data retention and deletion

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account and its records at any time from within the app. After deletion, we remove your data from our active systems within a reasonable period, except for limited copies retained in routine backups or where we must keep records to meet legal obligations. You can also delete individual records at any time.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. You can exercise many of these directly in the app, or contact us at main_admin@lyna.beauty. We will respond in line with applicable law.

8. Children

Lyna is intended for users aged 18 and over. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it. This is separate from client records you store as a professional, which you are responsible for handling lawfully.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including secure storage of your session. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and account credentials safe.

10. International transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where it is, we take steps to ensure it receives an adequate level of protection as required by applicable law.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app where appropriate.
